Carved out of the cellars of an historic landmark, Capriccio set a new standard for world-class dining in Rhode Island. Founder Vincenzo Iemma, an Italian immigrant with an impressive European restaurant pedigree, created the classically sophisticated concept and forever changed the city.
Capriccio delivers an exquisite experience. A richly appointed dining room, fresh cut roses, white linen tables and tableside flambees set the scene for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. A champion for the creation of new local gardens and distribution channels, they are responsible for many gourmet foods new to and now more commonplace in our region. Chefs present masterful dishes featuring locally and globally-sourced selections ranging from Wagyu beef and Beluga caviar to Florida stone crab and their signature Dover sole. Capriccio’s dedication to detail and excellence is a legend still in the making after 40 years.
Aged to Perfection
The extensive wine list at Capriccio is what makes the difference between eating and dining. Boasting one of the region’s most celebrated wine cellars, the restaurant features over 600 labels, each carefully curated to pair with its exceptional menu offerings. Capriccio is also home to one of America’s most extensive Cognac collections, some of which contain brandies aged for over 100 years.
