Eleven Forty Nine is a Weekend Upgrade

Posted

There is consistently great dining, and then there’s Eleven Forty Nine Restaurant. Not many get it all right the way Eleven Forty Nine does, and has masterfully done since it opened ten years ago. The sizeable restaurant – with a gorgeous collection of dining rooms, private spaces and a metropolitan-style lounge – hits that sweet spot between upscale and casual. The service from the detail-obsessed waitstaff though, is all fine dining level.

There’s no better way to get a feel for this dining experience than with their Sunday brunch. Nothing short of spectacular, the brunch features a seemingly endless buffet, made-to-order omelets, pasta and Benedicts, and a carving station with prime rib, turkey or pork loin. Belgian waffles, French toast, baked haddock, chicken marsala, salads, desserts... the options go on and on. The culinary team delivers the same level of exceptional cuisine every day, handcrafting an expansive selection of seafood, prime cuts of meat, pasta, burgers, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. Be it lunch, dinner, brunch or cocktails at the bar, an experience here is always remarkable.

Sip in the Season
The kitchen isn’t the only team at Eleven Forty Nine that is inspired by the seasons; the bar also takes a cue from the weather. The speciality cocktail menu features a creative and seasonal line-up martinis, margaritas and sangria. In the summer, it’s all about fruit-infused and tropical tasting libations. Come fall and winter, look for ingredients like apple cider, cinnamon and peppermint. A mix of sophistication and casual, the lively lounge and bar also offers an impressive selection of craft beers, wine and after-dinner cordials. Wine Divas, a monthly pairing of five wines with seasonally-focused courses, is so popular that reservations are a must. Getting in the seasonal spirit – or coping with the weather – is just a sip away.
