This two-day event features Mayor Elorza lighting the City Hall Tree on Friday night (December 2). Friday all parking meters in the city will be free for the evening and there will be a Sip n' Shop along Westminster street for those of you who like a glass of wine with your shopping.
The festivities continue on Saturday (December 3) with the Providence Gay Men's Chorus will kick things off at 5pm, immediately followed by the lighting of the rink Christmas tree. Then there will be a skating demonstration from Olympic medalist Michelle Kwan. Following the performance, the rink will open up to public skate and $1 of all skate admissions will be donated to the Tomorrow Fund.
