July 7: Jesse Colin Young takes the stage at the Courthouse Center for the Arts in West Kingston. The Americana and folk musician has recorded with The Youngbloods and toured with giants like Led Zeppelin and The Grateful Dead.

July 7-8:
Trinity Rep takes theatre outside for Shakespeare en el Verano. This year’s performance is a bilingual adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, traveling all over the greater PVD area for the month, including performances this weekend at Jenks Park in Central Falls on Friday and at WaterFire on Saturday.

July 7-8: World-renowned comedian Pablo Francisco brings his spot-on impressions and off-the-wall characters to The Comedy Connection in East Providence. In addition to his Comedy Central specials, Francisco has been a cast member on Mad TV and Frank TV.


July 8: Womanimation! 2017 returns to Providence at AS220 for a one-day premiere showcase of international animated short films created by women. Take your pick of one of the three screenings this Saturday - at 4pm, 6pm, or 8pm - and watch twelve examples of women’s animation from Europe and Asia.

July 8: Cheer on Newport Polo this weekend at NBC10’s International Polo Series as the USA faces Italy in an intense match. The match will conclude with a toast and trophy presentation, followed by a chance for attendees to mingle with the players during a cocktail hour and autograph signing.

July 8-9: Get your toes tapping at the New Bedford Folk Festival, featuring 70 local and national performers on seven stages over two days of pure musical joy around the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. The accompanying arts and crafts fair brings in 90 juried artists to the family-friendly event.

July 8–9: Each summer for 55 years, the Wickford Art Festival has brought thousands of people to Wickford Village to peruse the works of over 200 local artists working in oil and acrylic paint, glass, metals, jewelry and more. It’s back this year and features artists from Rhode Island, the US and beyond.
