Imago Foundation for the Arts (IFA) will feature artwork by IFA artist Yolanda Mazzoni, guest artist Maria Hall, and teen artists affiliated with the Boston-based Artists for Humanity organization as part of a group exhibit March 22 through April 29 at IMAGO Gallery, 36 Market Street, Warren. The public is invited to a free reception on Friday, March 23 from 6 - 8 p.m.

Mazzoni has created a series of paintings called "Connections." She says, "Our lives are enriched by the relationships we form. It is the most important thing we experience. It is personal. It has many different meanings for each of us. Through this series I hope, as a painter, to explore the different ways we strive to connect through communities, spirituality, individuals, ideas, places, and things."

A Cuban painter, Mazzoni grew up in the Boston area and studied at the New England School of Art & Design, earning a degree in environmental design. She has been a practicing interior architect for the past 30 years, while at the same time pursuing her passion for painting at the Rhode Island School of Design, the Art Students League of New York and through artist workshops. She has been an artist member at IFA since 2015.

Hall is an award-winning sculptor, painter and printmaker with an art career spanning over 40 years. She will be exhibiting both stainless steel sculpture and monoprints. Hall says, "My sculptures are abstract works concerned with the interrelationship of form and space. I try to develop strong, simple sculptural images that are dynamic compositions, which move one emotionally." Hall's work has been widely shown in juried and solo exhibits throughout the United States and is held in public collections at the State University of New York in Albany, William Patterson University in New Jersey and at the Saratoga Art Center in Saratoga Springs, NY, in addition to many other institutions and private collections.

The exhibit also includes works of art by eight artists from Artists for Humanity (AFH), a Boston-based organization whose goal is to bridge disparate communities through developing and celebrating the voice, vision and virtuosity of young people through paid employment in art and design. Samantha Mckenzie, Alvin Yuen, Winnie Mei, Wanyi Chen, Genna Medina-Cook, Maradia R. Rene, Jessy Gonzalez Camacho, Eddie Lujares will present a diverse body of work that includes paintings, mixed media and drawings also based on the theme of "Connections."

Other IMAGO artists who will participate in the exhibit include Eileen Siobhan Collins, Mary Dondero, Betty Harrington, Carl Keitner, Pascale Lord, Linda Megathlin, Rina Naik, Kol Naylor, Mercedes Nuñez, Anne Marie Rossi, Lenny Rumpler, Howard Rotblat-Walker and Howard Windham.
