Thursdays, All Month Long: It’s time to shine at Wakefield Idol 2019, the karaoke-style singing competition at the Contemporary Theater Company in Wakefield. Cast your vote for your favorite local singer.

February 8: The Top 40 artist Trippie Redd brings rap and trap music to The Strand, with openers including Coi Leray and special guests. The artist is best known for his collaboration with Julia Michaels in the song “Jump,” and his recent single “Topanga.”

February 8: Head to Tiverton and join Sandywoods during Winter Songfest, a day of live folk music featuring solo showcases by three veteran songwriters: Louis Leeman, Lara Herscovitch, and Chuck Williams.

February 10: Boston group Receita de Samba introduces classic Brazilian jazz to the Community Concert Series at St. Michael’s Church in Bristol. Featuring a mix of Samba, Bossa Nova, and jazz performed with vocals, piano, bass, drums, and percussion.

Now-March 10: At IMAGO Foundation for the Arts in Warren, see featured mixed-media artist Howard Windham exhibiting with guest contemporary artist Linda Behar.
