December 5-8: For a quaint and festive Christmas celebration in a historic colonial village, look no further than the 34th Annual Wickford Village Festival of Lights, with shops open all evening and Santa arriving by boat at the town dock.

December 6: The Buy with Heart Marketplace in Providence is a one-stop shop for lovers of unique goods and the community-minded, with all featured businesses emphasizing social impact.

December 6-7: Downtown Providence offers two nights of family-friendly fun during this year’s Winter Lights Market at Burnside Park. Tree lightings both nights and figure skating performances on Saturday will help make the season cheery and bright!

December 7: The Collaborative’s ATM Art Show offers a refreshing take on buying art, showcasing original works on sale in increments of $20 or $40 for affordable gifts or new additions to your home.

December 7: Kick back for some laughs with Emmy Award-winning stand-up comedian Josh Gondelman at Askew in Providence to celebrate his latest book, Nice Try: Stories of Best Intentions and Mixed Results.

December 7: See the new Christmas Village and join in for sing alongs, face painting, a visit from Santa, and more at the Bowen’s Wharf 49th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Newport.

December 7-8: International House of Rhode Island features more than just shopping at their Holiday Bazaar – food, fellowship, and workshops will accompany international-themed gifts in the spirit of their globally-minded mission.

December 7-8: Smith’s Castle rings in the holidays with nautical-themed traditional decor for Christmas at the Castle. Entertainment (from handbell ringers to holiday singers!), history-themed activities, and vendors will all be on hand for the merriment.
