“I am a creative person,” explains Jan Bertwell, “and I love seeing the way that colors play against one another. In framing, I use my color sense to bring out the best in each work of art that comes our way.”
Jan owns FINISHING TOUCHES PICTURE FRAMING, which she describes as a “place of creative energy” where she works with customers to design framing and matting that complements and brings out the best in their artwork. While Jan figures out the most beautiful way to present the photo or memento, she works alongside her son, Evan, who turns her vision into reality as the picture framer. Being a true family business, their favorite projects are objects, photos, and art that hold precious memories to their customers. “Those projects are the most meaningful,” Jan says.
“Jan really knows her frames and brings a terrific sense of style to each project,” certifies customer Ron Cowie. Her business is also the preferred picture framer for URI Athletics and The Ryan Center.
