If you’ve ever wanted to fight climate change and snag a free T-shirt before your morning coffee, the 2025 No Pollute Commute Bike to Work Challenge might just become your new favorite spring tradition.
Kicking off this May, the month-long challenge invites Rhode Islanders to trade four wheels for two and log their bike commutes on Drive Less RI. It’s free, it’s fun, and every ride you log earns you a shot at prizes, including a grand prize gift card from NBX Bikes.
Each trip cuts down carbon emissions and counts toward weekly giveaways. And good news: you don’t need to be a cycling pro to join in. First-timers can link up with Bike Buddies – local riders who’ll help you plan your route, offer tips, and maybe even point you toward the best breakfast sandwich in town.
Want even more perks with your pedaling? Celebration Stations will pop up across the state throughout May (schedule below), offering Boxed Water, “No Pollute Commute” T-shirts, and chances to win cool raffle prizes. You’ll find them everywhere from Newport to East Providence, including scenic stops like Memorial Park, the Van Leesten Bridge, and the Jewelry District.
The grand finale? A Closing Party at the Guild PVD Beer Garden on May 28. Roll in for a free drink and toast your month of eco-friendly commuting with fellow riders and skyline views.
