Compassion meets craftsmanship at the 11th Annual Crafting for Critters Spring Bazaar, where every sale supports homeless cats and dogs in Rhode Island. Kicking off on May 10 from 10am-3pm at Airport Professional Park in Warwick, the outdoor event features over 70 local artisans, food vendors, and animal lovers gathering for a day of shopping and community spirit. Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter hosts the bazaar, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting animal welfare efforts.
Every purchase supports homeless cats and dogs, with all proceeds funding food, medical care, and shelter for animals in need. The nonprofit Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter works year-round to help rescue animals, and this event plays a key role in their efforts.
Local artisans will showcase a wide variety of handcrafted goods, including fine art, jewelry, home decor, apparel, and garden items. Visitors can also enjoy homemade baked goods, candies, jams, jellies, and pet treats, along with independently published titles for book enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful gift or something special for yourself, the bazaar offers plenty of unique finds.
This community-driven event is free to attend, with plenty of parking and a variety of food trucks serving fresh, local fare. Unlike big-box retail markets, Crafting for Critters celebrates independent makers. Every vendor designs and creates their own products, ensuring a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Artisans interested in participating can still apply, but space is limited. Vendor applications remain open until March 29. To apply or learn more, visit FriendsRI.org.
