Opening its doors in the spring of 2015, Ten Rocks Tapas Bar is an exciting new addition to the local dining scene. Located just a block away from the Hope Artiste Village on the Pawtucket/Providence line, the Cape Verdean restaurant offers culturally authentic food, drink and entertainment. The family-run restaurant serves traditional recipes from Cape Verde that has been passed down for generations, yet with a modern twist. With her creative touch and vast experience, Chef Elia Lima fuses together a delicious and exotic combination of Portuguese, West African and Caribbean flavors.
Food is the epicenter of Cape Verdean culture and celebrations. Tapas, small plates that are meant to be shared, not only allow for a dynamic dining experience, it also allows the dining party to enjoy a diverse selection of the unique West African cuisine. Their most popular dish is the grilled octopus, an island delicacy that is served over plantains. The Cape Verdean cod cakes served with house-made Sriracha sauce is also a must try, as is the garlic shrimp tapas. Top off your evening with a flight of their traditional Cape Verdean rum punches, which are made from artisanal sugarcane liquors and fresh juices like mango, coconut and the unique tamarind.
Patio seating is available during the warmer months, and Tuesday through Thursday enjoy half prices on select apps between 4-6pm. Come to Ten Rocks Tapas Bar for delicious Cape Verdean food, live music on the weekends and a warm atmosphere always.
