The Gilded Age Orchestra of Newport presents To Rhode Island, with Love – An evening of music composed by Ambassador J. William Middendorf II, in celebration of his 100th birthday and featuring the premier of his work The Ocean State Symphony.

The program will include the life story of this impressive man who served as Secretary of the Navy, US Ambassador to the Netherlands and European Union, and advisor to a number of presidents.

All proceeds will go to Historic Music of Newport to further its work preserving Newport’s diverse musical history.
