Providence is gearing up for a unique cultural experience as the Providence Rock and Roll Yard Sale returns to downtown, bringing with it a flurry of local enthusiasm and vintage shopping opportunities organized by InDowncity in partnership with Chris and Jennifer Daltry of What Cheer.

"We’re excited to bring the Rock and Roll Yard Sale back downtown," shares Abigail Clarkin, InDowncity event coordinator and social media manager. Known for spearheading notable community initiatives like Movies on the Block and Open Air Saturdays, InDowncity continues to stitch the vibrant threads of Providence’s cultural tapestry. "Our aim is to highlight the eclectic energy that our local vendors infuse into the heart of Providence," Clarkin elaborates.

With over 35 vendors specializing in everything from vinyl records to vintage goods and handmade crafts, the event is a treasure trove for enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. Local food trucks and cocktail vendors complement the shopping experience. DJ Studebaker Hawk will provide a musical backdrop of curated beats. "His music selection always creates a great vibe," says Clarkin.

For those planning to attend, Clarkin recommends making the most of the day by exploring the historic Westminster Street, enjoying local food, and experiencing the unique pop-up shops. "Bring your family and friends and make a day of it. There’s something for everyone," she advises.

"The heart and soul of this event are always our small businesses," Clarkin says. She hopes attendees will discover new local favorites while supporting the backbone of the city’s economy. "Make the most of your visit by exploring historic Westminster Street, sampling local delicacies, and browsing the unique pop-up shops." For more information, visit InDowncity.com
