A Night Market with Local Heart

Timed with WaterFire, the Rhode Island Night Market turns Track 15 into a community hub for food, music, and makers

Providence’s glow will shine a little brighter this month as the Rhode Island Night Market takes over the city’s newest food hall, Track 15, on September 27. Timed with WaterFire, the event merges the city's iconic riverfront tradition with a vibrant new gathering space that celebrates food, music, and local makers.

For founder Lupe Aguilar, the location couldn’t be more fitting. “Track 15 is where Providence’s history and future meet,” he says. With its open layout, industrial charm, and central location, the food hall feels like a natural extension of the WaterFire experience. Guests can move between the riverside flames and the buzzing marketplace with ease.

First-time visitors can expect the energy of a neighborhood block party. “Families, students, neighbors, and visitors will all be mingling together,” Aguilar explains. “It’s an instant buzz of energy, with incredible food options and strong community vibes.”

The culinary lineup is a major draw. Kitchens inside Track 15 will serve up local favorites including Dune Brothers, Giusto, Little Chaska, Mother Pizzeria, and Tolia. Outside, mobile bars will be pouring drinks while live entertainment sets the tone. Shoppers can browse artisan vendors such as Herbs & Mylk, Jades Gems, Paul & Sandy’s Honey, and Wild World of AK. And if the rumors are true, a pair of alpacas may even make a surprise appearance.

Beyond the food and festivities, Aguilar sees the Night Market as a reflection of something deeper. “The RI Night Market is a celebration of Rhode Island’s creative spirit,” he says. “We want people to come hungry and leave feeling inspired and connected.” By bringing together chefs, artists, and makers under one roof, the event shines a light on the culture and creativity that make the Ocean State unique.

Looking ahead, Aguilar hopes Track 15 will become a year-round “third place” for the community. He envisions it as a hub for micro-festivals, markets, and meaningful connections. “We want people to come hungry and leave inspired,” he says. “This is just the start of something special for Providence.” For more information, visit them online at RINightMarket.com or on Facebook.
