Cory Farms Celebrates 15 Years of Treasure Hunting in Portsmouth

One of Portsmouth's favorite treasure hunts is celebrating a milestone year.

For 15 years, Cory Farms has built a reputation for the kind of finds that spark an immediate, "Where did you get that?" From European imports and handcrafted gifts to antiques with stories of their own, the shop has become a destination for shoppers who love the thrill of discovery. On June 13, owner Deny Eftekhar is inviting the community to celebrate with a Vintage Fair, Artisans Market, and Antique Car Show that reflects the spirit of the store itself.

Housed inside a renovated 1849 farmhouse on East Main Road, Cory Farms feels less like a traditional retail store and more like a carefully curated collection of treasures gathered from near and far. Visitors browse home décor, tabletop pieces, gifts, clothing, and antiques sourced throughout the United States and Europe, often discovering something they didn't know they needed along the way.

"I am very proud and grateful to have reached this milestone of 15 years in business," says Eftekhar. "It has been an amazing journey to grow my vendor base in the U.S. and abroad, curating vendors with quality products that I know will delight my customers with their uniqueness and craftsmanship."

Finding top artisans in Sweden, England, Germany, and the U.S. weaves a sense of elevated quality into the items sold at Cory Farms.

"I love the relationships I have nurtured with these artists around the world for 15 years. Visiting their studios abroad, designing exclusive products for CF with them, seeing them at shows, and selling their amazing work is absolutely the best. It is a small business dream!"

That sense of delight is at the heart of the anniversary celebration. Guests can shop handmade goods from artisans, meet ceramicists and a plein-air painter, browse vintage wares, and explore antiques collected during the owners' travels abroad. According to Eftekhar, attendees will find everything from pocket watches and antique English tools to fishing reels, silver homewares, and artwork.

"Truly something for everyone!" she says.

The event also brings together another longtime passion. While Deny and her husband have spent years collecting antique furniture and housewares, classic cars have always held a special place in his heart.

"My husband and I have always collected antique furniture and housewares together, but antique cars have always been one of his specific hobbies," she explains. "We really enjoy the opportunity to combine our interests with the market and cars."

Beyond the shopping, visitors are encouraged to wander the grounds and explore the property's collection of buildings, including the Antique Barn, the She Shed, and the Antique Gallery. Outside, vintage automobiles line the lawn, creating the kind of scene that makes people slow down and stay awhile.

"I think the most memorable part of these events is the energy, excitement, and pleasure that people get strolling the grounds of Cory Farms, seeing all of the different buildings, the store, two antique barns, the She Shed, and, of course, the antique cars lined up on the lawn by the street," says Eftekhar. "It is a sweet and happy experience for people of all ages."

It's that combination of discovery, hospitality, and community that has kept customers coming back for more than a decade.

"What keeps people coming back to Cory Farms is the consistent quality of our products and the feeling of being taken care of during their shopping experience," says Eftekhar.

The Vintage Fair, Artisans Market, and Antique Car Show takes place Saturday, June 13, from 10am to 4:30pm at Cory Farms, 3124 East Main Road in Portsmouth.
