Imago Foundation for the Arts (IFA) is hosting a talk by IFA Exhibiting Artist Dot Bergen at 4 p.m. on October 24. All are welcome to attend this free event.
In this presentation, Bergen takes us on her exploration of the restorative capacity of nature as she applies a new understanding of fractals to her own encaustic practice. Beginning with her work in encaustic and fresco, she sets the stage for her subsequent mixed-media investigation of edges, lines and illumination.
Her resulting new series of illuminated sculptures, entitled “Biolume: Between Host and Light” will be introduced. This new work will be featured in the Fine Furnishings Show at the Waterfire Arts Center in Providence on November 7th and 8th, 2026.
