The Women’s Summit® Returns to Rhode Island for Its 29th Year

A powerhouse day of purpose, connection, and bold action lands at Bryant University this March

For nearly three decades, The Women’s Summit®, presented by Bryant University, has been a calendar-circling event for women across New England. On Thursday, March 19, 2026, the Summit returns to Bryant’s Smithfield campus for its 29th annual gathering, bringing together more than 1,000 attendees for a full day of inspiration, skill-building, and genuine connection.

As New England’s longest-running and premier women’s conference, the Summit carries on its mission to empower women professionally, personally, and financially. This year’s theme, “Illuminating Values, Inspiring Action,” lands at just the right moment. It encourages participants to reflect on what truly guides them and to turn those values into bold, purpose-driven action—at work, at home, and in their communities.

The day starts strong with morning networking and an expo that sparks curiosity and collaboration. Attendees can dive into energizing keynotes, dynamic breakout sessions, and quiet moments to pause and recharge. Topics cover leadership, financial empowerment, mindset, media, wellness, and the ever-evolving role of technology. Think AI, emotional intelligence, imposter syndrome, and reimagining what sustainable success really means.

The afternoon features two standout moments. Barbara Papitto, founder of the Papitto Opportunity Connection, receives the Kati C. Machtley Businesswoman of the Year Award for her inspiring dedication to education, opportunity, and community impact across Rhode Island. Later, bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand takes the stage as the afternoon keynote, sharing her signature storytelling, raw honesty, and hard-won insights in a conversation about creativity, perseverance, and living with intention.

Of course, the real magic often happens in the in-between. From spontaneous hallway chats to connections sparked during the closing networking reception, the Summit builds a sense of community that lingers long after the final session ends.
