Now through August 18: The Washington County Agricultural Fair is fun for the whole family with its agricultural shows and events, tractor and horse pulls, country music stars, and much more. Make sure to also catch a ride on New England’s largest traveling roller coaster! 

August 8: Enjoy a beautiful New England summer evening and classic clambake at the Weekapaug Inn’s Lobster Boil & BBQ. Featuring both local seafood and classic grill items. 

August 9: The Ocean House brings New York to you during their Broadway on the Lawn dinner event! Start off the night with cocktails on the South Lawn and then enjoy a gourmet meal while being serenaded by the Providence Big Band performing Broadway hits. 

August 9-11: Head down to the Greenwich Odeum as the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra Performs Woodstock to celebrate the legendary music festival’s 50th anniversary. 

August 9-11: The Annual Black Ships Festival celebrates the friendship between Japan and the United States, and brings a weekend of Japanese arts and crafts, drum performances, sushi and sake, and much more. 

August 9-11: It’s Hamilton’s last weekend at the Providence Performing Arts Center! Make sure to catch a show and enjoy an evening of history, music, and dance before this award-winning Broadway musical leaves the Ocean State! 

August 10: Learn all about the art of photography with Dawn Temple during her Get Your Camera Off Auto class. You’ll not only take better pictures, but you’ll learn the ins and outs of your camera.

August 10: If you love books and want to meet local authors, RI Authors at the Looff will be hosting more than 30 of them. Buy some books, get them signed, and keep your summer reading list going. 

August 10: Get a behind-the-scenes look into RI’s thriving craft industry through The Craft: Rhode Island’s world premier at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. The documentary will be shown at the RISD Museum from 3pm to 5pm. 

August 10-11: Grab some lawn chairs and blankets and head to the RI Blues Festival for an afternoon (or two) of music, food, and fun! This year’s lineup includes the Cross Rhode Blues Band, Heidi Nirk Band, Chris Stovall Brown, and special guests Ginger & Charlie.

August 11: Celebrate a day of cultural pride at the Dominican Music and Cultural Festival of RI, where there will be plenty of music, dancing, and food. This event will be held at the picturesque Temple of Music.
