I'd like to say a bit more about Pleasant Valley Parkway and stream, which, though small, has been a cherished feature of the neighborhood for a long time. The stream flows into the Woonasquatucket River which flows into Narragansett Bay. Since 2008, efforts have been made to guard against storm runoff with green technology, thereby protecting the bay (there is an article on it, "Little stream in Providence provides a model for making the Bay cleaner").
