Kate Spinella and daughter Francesca Micheletti opened Ivory, A Bridal Boutique in East Greenwich in the spring of 2020, with the notion of not only making the betrothed feel special but also seeing friends, mothers, and family members sashaying in the latest styles. “The vision of the store is to create an unforgettable and intimate experience for all brides who walk through the door,” says Spinella.
Since the pair turned their decade-long dream into a reality, the boutique specializing in dresses for brides, mothers, and bridesmaids has consistently won “Best of The Knot” awards, along with Best of Newport 2022. Their reputation is bolstered by the undivided attention each party receives when they choose to make an appointment at Ivory. “Our expertise will help any bride or mother choose a high-quality gown that fits their style and budget,” Spinella shares. “We cater to one client at a time and offer in-house alterations by a designer/seamstress with 30 years of experience.”
"We want our clients to leave our store feeling their best in a gown that also suits their body type,” adds Micheletti, who has always had a finger on the pulse when it comes to fashion and makes it her mission to find the style that speaks to each of her clients on a personal level. “We have spent the past two years curating our collections and expanding our inventory to make sure any customer feels their best on their special day.”
Stocking the latest trends in gowns, Ivory features the best designers, including Justin Alexander Bridal, Calla Blanche, Paloma Blanca, and Mikaella for brides, and for moms, find dresses by Mon Cheri Montage, Mon Cheri Ivonne D, and Nicole Bakti.
