Rhody Pets of the Month

May 2024

One of the many things that makes this month perfect to adopt a pet, is that May 20 is National Rescue Day. This special observance was founded by children’s book author Lisa Wiehebrink in 2018, after she rescued a puppy from a shelter and wanted to bring attention to adopting dogs. Shelters around Rhode Island have dogs and cats ready to find their forever homes, and here are three ready to meet you. Find even more furry friends by reaching out to a shelter near you.
