HUGO

BREED: Mixed (large)

AGE: 6 years
GENDER: Male

Happy Birthday to Hugo, who turns six on August 7! Big dog lovers – he is the boy for you. Hugo is as handsome as they come with his beautiful black-and-white coat and soulful dark chocolate-brown eyes, and will instantly steal your heart. He’s looking for a human who understands dogs and is savvy to their wants and needs. He’s playful, sits up for treats, and loves to snuggle. Did we mention that he is extremely smart, active, and lovable?

SPIRIT CATS

BREED: Mixed
AGE: Various
GENDER: Males and females

Almost 100 cats were recently taken from a Rhode Island home and moved to RISPCA. Many have already been adopted, but there are still over 20 waiting to find their forever homes. They are searching for patient adult homes where they will have space to blossom. They would like to stay in pairs as well, as they enjoy the comfort and security of one another. Please be sure to say you are inquiring about the “Spirit Cats” when you call. All they need is a chance, and maybe that chance is you!

LAYNE

BREED: Mixed
AGE: 3
GENDER: Female

Layne is a medium-sized sweet, loyal girl with a golden coat and dark chocolate eyes that look right into your heart. She is shy, but warms up with a little patience and time. Layne is about three years old and loves other playful dogs. The rescue is looking for a female-only home with a fenced-in yard, ideally with another dog to be her companion. Layne is the type of dog you need to meet in person, and once you do, it will be easy to imagine her as part of the family.
