Ice cream fans who like to think they have great taste now have a chance to prove it. Wright’s Creamery plans to start 2026 with the return of its Test Batch Club, a limited winter program that hands creative power directly to the community. This year, every flavor takes inspiration from music, and the Creamery invites Rhode Islanders to help decide which ideas deserve a spot in future lineups.
From January through March, Wright’s turns its kitchen into a flavor studio and releases one new small-batch pint each week. Members pick up their exclusive pints fresh from the Creamery and take part in the full tasting process. After sampling, they complete a weekly survey that asks them to rate the flavor, share feedback, and vote on whether it should move forward. The goal is simple. Wright’s wants real input from the people who know its ice cream best.
“Our Test Batch Club is not just a membership. It is an experience,” said Cate Kennedy, Food Operations Manager at Wright’s. She explained that the team draws inspiration from all corners of the music world, and the process encourages both creativity and collaboration. She looks forward to seeing which ideas resonate with the community.
The program attracts a loyal following, and spots often fill quickly. Members enjoy first access to flavors that might never reappear, and they take pride in helping shape what eventually lands in the case at Wright’s. The format turns winter into a season of discovery, and the weekly pick-up routine keeps fans engaged long after the holidays fade.
