Prowl the town for trunk-or-treats, cheers with Oktoberfest brews, dance with the witches, and bring the whole family to frightful fests. Take a break from the spooks to enjoy cultural celebrations and partake in Ocean State oysters, too. This weekend lineup will surely give you pumpkin to talk about!

THURSDAY, October 19
There’s no reason to be afraid taking a night stroll through North Burial Ground, with family-friendly Sunset Stories recited by Rochelle Coleman of RI Black Storytellers about a few of the figures who call the graveyard their final resting place. 5pm, RSVP online, Providence
FRIDAY, October 20
Brush off your dancing shoes and practice your waltzes because it’s time for the annual Narragansett Firefighters' Ball at the Dunes Club. Enjoy music and hors d'oeuvres while raising funds for the high school scholarship and local charities. Tickets online, Narragansett
SATURDAY, October 21
It’s a graveyard smash at Rocky Point State Park during the Spooky Fall Festival. With local vendors, food trucks, hayrides, a costume contest, and more, this Halloween event is sure to be a hit for the whole family. 10am-3:30pm, Warwick
The future holds a night of games, crafts, tarot cards, and a beer garden at the Burrillville Town Common for Halloween Spooktopia. At the end of the night, celebrate all things creepy with a glow dance party and a trunk-or-treat. 2-8pm, Burrillville
A showcase of cultural and creative expression, Rhode Island’s 45th Heritage Festival features a parade of over 30 international flags, and be dazzled by traditional dancing, music, craft demonstrations, food, and more. 12-5pm, Providence
Celebrate and support the local aquaculture economy and Narragansett Bay with local, sustainable oyster farmers at the Ocean State Oyster Festival, where guests can tuck into treats of the sea. Tickets online, Providence
SUNDAY, October 22
Double, double toil and trouble, let the fires burn and cauldrons bubble at this year’s Witch’s Dance and Wickford Parade. Don your pointy hats and get ready to bewitch the judges of the costume contest. Registration opens at 12pm, parade at 2pm, Wickford
Come for the “boos,” stay for the fun at Traptoberfest, an afternoon of beer, comfort food, live music, and the Patriots game, of course. A portion of proceeds benefit FRIENDS WAY, Rhode Island’s only children’s bereavement center. Tickets online, East Greenwich
The Aquidneck Island Halloween Family Festival invites young ghouls to trick or treat with over 25 local vendors, prowl your way to stardom in the costume contest, and make some spooky crafts at this monstrously fun party. 10am-2pm, Middletown
